**Description**

ProActive Physical Therapy Specialists is looking for a **full****-time** Care Coordinator for our **Gateway** location. With the hours being **Tuesday-** **Friday 7:15am-6:15pm** (with the occasional Monday).

This individual must be motivated and a team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working directly with people. Our practice is passionate about patient care, and we are looking for someone who is detailed, organized & reliable with previous front office experience. **Bilingual is a plus.**

The person applying for this position **MUST** have previous experience working with Work Comp and adjusters. Knowledge of Work Hardening/Work Steps/MVA are a plus! This candidate must be detailed oriented and have experience with insurance benefits, pre-authorization, and approval. Previous medical front office and customer service experience is a must.

**A summary of job responsibilities includes:**

* Front desk scheduling

* Greeting patients, and checking them in and out for appointments

* Answering phones and email inquiries

* Collecting co-pays and other fees required prior to office visits

* Obtaining pre-authorizations for patient visits

* Insurance re-verifications

* Data entry, running reports, auditing and filing

* Maintaining the front desk and reception areas

* Patient and physician interaction on the phone, and in-person.

* Managing, updating, and charting patient records in an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system

* Additional duties as assigned

Previous medical/dental front office, administrative, customer service, or front office experience is a definite must. History of working with insurance benefits, pre-authorization, and approval is preferred. If this sounds exciting to you, and you have previous front office experience, we would love to meet you!
