DESCRIPTION
About the Position
This position is part of a maintenance team that perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs of the Lane County Jail facilities. Looking for a dynamic person to join our team.

The Sheriff's Office provides an array of correctional services including a jail, a community corrections center (work-release), and out-of-custody programs such as community service and an inmate work crew.
Lane County covers over 4,600 square miles and is nearly the size of the state of Connecticut. Nearly 300 staff, along with many volunteers, support these services and utilizes land, marine, air and other assets to maximize our response capability.
Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, days. May require overtime or on-call time.

QUALIFICATIONS
Training/Certification:
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by training in electrical work
- HVAC systems maintenance or a related field.
- Limited Maintenance Electrician or higher electrical license; Mechanical/HVAC certificate; Stationary Engineer; Building Operator Certification (Level 2); or other types of continuing education that demonstrate the competencies and/or skill sets that exceed those required of a Maintenance Specialist 2.
Experience:- Five years of mechanical, electrical, and building system maintenance experience, preferably with large building systems.
An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.Special Requirements:Possession of a valid Oregon driver's license at time of appointment.
