A Day in Your Life at MKSAs a Machine Operator 1 you will set up and operate a variety of computer-based automated equipment to manufacture and measure parts. Equipment used may include machines such as Laser Machining Systems, Injection Molding Machines, and Coordinate Measuring Machines.You Make an Impact By:* Responsible for the overall operation of manufacturing machinery including actions such as feeding materials for processing, adjusting settings, performing minor repairs, and pulling finished product from the line.* Works from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given to perform production duties.* Checks and inspects operation results against predetermined outcomes.* Normally receives detailed instructions on all work and under close supervision.* Other duties may be assigned.Education and ExperienceTypically requires a minimum of 0 - 1 year of related experience.Special Skills and Abilities* To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent phone and computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).* Works with integrity and ethically and is able to inspire the trust of others.* Read, understand, and follow written and verbal work instructions* Navigate in MS Windows computer environment* Basic Math skills and comfortable with metric system* Laser and equipment safety; maintain and practice good safety habits.* Skilled in an ISO 9001 environment*Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
