The City of Klamath Falls is looking for a Wastewater Division Manager to provide leadership and management for our Level IV Plant including collections and treatment. Reporting to the Public Works Director, this position also provides leadership and management for the wastewater utility including strategic planning, asset management, personnel development, fiscal management and regulatory compliance.
This position provides a career opportunity to be the project manager for $100 million wastewater treatment plant upgrades. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled operator with solid project management and administrative skills. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of budget management. The Wastewater Systems Manager must be technically competent, enthusiastic, and proactive. This individual will be a mentor to staff and a productive team member with all City Departments, outside agencies, contractors, and the community.
This Wastewater Division provides services to nearly 28,000 City of Klamath Falls residents and Klamath Basin area customers. It provides sewage collections/treatment and storm water collections services for the residents of Klamath Falls. Staff consisting of 13 full-time employees responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of all equipment, facilities and infrastructure. This includes 1 treatment plant, 150 miles of sanitary sewers, twelve wastewater pumping stations, 110 miles of storm water collection lines, and modern equipment. Wastewater treatment facilities processing an average combined 2.2 million gallons of wastewater per day from over 7,400 service connections.

An associate's degree and a Level IV Wastewater Treatment Operator certification with six years of progressive experience may be accepted. This position requires two years of supervisory experience.
