Position Summary

As the County Manager Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting daily operations within your assigned county. This includes collaborating closely with the County Manager and Onboarding Specialist to ensure smooth onboarding, record keeping, and staff support.

This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate with the diverse populations we serve.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. DSP Onboarding

  • Review Direct Support Professional (DSP) applications and schedule interviews
  • Conduct interviews and orientation tasks when County Manager is unavailable
  • Notify County Onboarding Specialist when candidates are ready to proceed
2. Individual Onboarding
  • Schedule intake meetings with Individuals, families, or Guardians
  • Assist with DSP-Individual matchups and attend Meet & Greets if needed
  • Ensure onboarding paperwork is accurate and submitted for processing
3. Records Maintenance
  • Train DSPs on new or updated Individual Service Plans (ISPs)
  • Process ISP acknowledgement forms promptly
4. DSP Management
  • Support DSPs with ongoing training and address concerns
  • Help coordinate staffing coverage for DSP absences
  • Foster a supportive and responsive work environment
5. Office Management
  • Handle incoming calls and office visitors professionally
  • Keep office space clean and organized
  • Submit monthly purchase orders and attend all required meetings
6. Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Individuals, families, staff, community members, and agencies
  • Use bilingual skills to support non-English speaking Individuals and families
7. Compliance Support
  • Assist in resolving compliance issues by applying Premier policies and government regulations
8. Documentation
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and uploading required documents to ensure quality and timeliness
9. Additional Duties
  • Perform any additional tasks or special projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) required
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in social services, community support, or administrative roles is a plus

Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Preferred Minimum of 2 years working with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Understanding of local human services agency operations
  2. Strong conflict resolution, leadership, problem-solving, and reasoning skills
  3. Clear and professional verbal/written communication
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; ability to learn new software
  5. Basic math skills
  6. Ability to analyze problems and draw valid conclusions
  7. Good judgment, resourcefulness, and initiative
  8. Ability to provide instruction, assess, and monitor work
  9. Ability to travel locally and occasionally out of area


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Valid driver's license, current car insurance, and reliable transportation required

  • Accrue up to 80 hours of PTO per year
  • 401(k) with 4% employer match after 90 days of employment
  • Bi-monthly pay (1st and 16th of each month)

Wage: Starting at $24.00/hour, depending on experience (DOE).
