Sedgwick Government Solutions is an innovative organization looking for a skilled professional to lead a team of Care Associates in the Central Management Unit (CMU).
The Senior CMU, NVRS Care Associate Team Lead oversees daily operations and performance of the CMU team, providing leadership and guidance to care associates and quality analysts. The Senior Care Associate Team Lead serve as a resource to other Team Leads and collaborate closely with finance, IT, and various internal and external stakeholders. Supporting the CMU Director and Director of Quality and Training, they contribute to training, orientation, mentoring, and evaluation efforts, playing a vital role in driving continuous improvement and organizational success.
Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with NVRS leadership to shape and implement CMU unit policies, protocols, and outcomes.
Support complex cases involving high acuity, media sensitivity, litigation, fraud, or long-term disability.
Manage department and individual workloads and monitor assigned worklists for incoming documents and referrals, adapting assignments as needed to optimize unit performance and customer service.
Oversee the capture and entry of injured worker referral data for case management services, ensuring expedited and accurate processing in proprietary systems.
Ensure timely upload and verification of completed reports and invoices, working closely with finance to correct and confirm all documents for invoicing.
Serve as a subject matter resource to CMU Care Associates and team leaders, applying policies and procedures to daily operations.
Coach, teach, and mentor other team leaders, fostering professional growth, collaboration, and best practices across the team.
Collaborate with Unit Management and external stakeholders to improve or correct processes, ensuring contract and reporting requirements are met.
Provide leadership and assistance to staff in daily operations, motivating and managing team members to achieve and exceed performance standards.
Offer direct and timely feedback to staff through scheduled coaching sessions and evaluations, supporting active engagement, skill development, and commitment to quality outcomes.
Resolve employee conflicts using multidisciplinary strategies, problem-solving skills, and conflict management techniques; make timely, well-communicated decisions.
Monitor employee attendance, approve time sheets, and authorize vacations and personal days in alignment with staffing needs.
Encourage personal accountability and empower others to take ownership of their actions and outcomes and promote professional growth for self and team members.
Participate in team program planning, implementation, and coordination to ensure compliance with department and Federal/State regulations.
Provide training and educational services for TN case managers, SGS-MCA team members, and clients as assigned.
Assist NVRS Management in administrative functions as requested.
Focus efforts on achieving SMART objectives aligned with the Company's Strategic Imperatives.
Exhibit strong people management, organizational, decision-making, and analytical skills.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate degree preferred.
Minimum two years in workers' compensation, claims administration, utilization review, or related field
Supervisory and medical terminology experience preferred
Knowledge of FECA and related issues is advantageous.
Customer Service experience in the medical field preferred
Ability to utilize an Electronic Medical Record or other electronic platform
Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to pass a background check
Adhere to and comply with all confidentiality requirements
Responsible for having reliable High-Speed Cable or Fiber Optic Internet service and Internet Router in established home office
Must have Excellent Communication Skills via Phone, E-Mail, Text, Verbal, and Documentation Skills and provide 24-hour follow-up to all communication
Able to travel for training and meetings as needed.
