Commercial Sales Engineer
Hybrid: Cleveland, OH 44114

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Solar Industry - provide new business development and account management to profitably grow revenues across the full breadth of products and solutions in the assigned territory and markets.

Territory: Midwest - Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop business plan for territory and target markets to meet or exceed sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Execute tactical sales activities, including follow up on sales leads, make targeted cold calls, develop proposals, meet with prospects, etc.
  • Introduce and explain to clients the products and services that match business needs.
  • Attend various tradeshows, workshops, and forums
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports, and feedback on marketing, product and system offerings and operations.
  • Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of selling and account relationship management experience with commercial organizations.
  • Consistent achievement of sales revenue objectives
  • Solid understanding of solar and wind systems, site requirements, and their key design criteria (preferred)

Technical Knowledge Other Requirements:
  • Solid understanding of solar and wind systems, site requirements, and their key design criteria (strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with building electrical and HVAC systems and their relevant system characteristics and industry codes
  • Familiarity with sustainable building design and key technologies
  • Ability to develop and convey business cost justification and return on investment assessments
  • Experience collaborating with client senior management and across functions within customer organizations to gain commitment, obtain resources and achieve desired results.
  • Excellent presentation skills with superior professional presence and business acumen.
Educational Requirements:
  • BS degree, preferred Electrical Engineer
Compensation:
  • Base salary: $100,000 - $110,000
  • Commissions: 1-2% variable
