US-Software Engineer IV
Location: Remote (U.S.)

Role Summary:
We are modernizing our product UI by replacing a legacy front-end with a modern React application. This is a full UI rewrite and redesign, focused on improving usability, maintainability, and long-term scalability-not a screen-for-screen migration.
We are seeking a Senior React Engineer (10+ years experience) who has architected and built enterprise-scale React applications from the ground up. The ideal candidate has defined front-end architecture, established engineering standards, and delivered critical modules hands-on with minimal oversight. Experience leading legacy UI migrations to modern SPA frameworks is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the React application architecture end-to-end, including project structure, component strategy, routing, and front-end integration boundaries.
• Define and enforce UI engineering standards, including reusable component patterns, coding conventions, linting/formatting, PR quality standards, and documentation.
• Drive front-end technology decisions with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and ecosystem health.
• Design and implement foundational UI elements such as navigation, layouts, and shared components.
• Deliver one or more key product modules end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Build accessible UI components, adhering to strong accessibility standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional software development experience with a strong front-end focus.
• Deep, hands-on experience building production-grade React SPAs.
• Proven experience as a hands-on Senior Engineer or Technical Lead on greenfield applications.
• Ability to work independently while driving architecture and delivery outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience modernizing or migrating legacy UI stacks (e.g., server-rendered UIs) to modern React SPAs.

Technical Skills:

• Expert in React and TypeScript; experience delivering large-scale SPAs and setting coding standards.
• Front-end architecture for modular applications (e.g., admin, settings, case management).
• State management strategy and governance across teams.
• Accessibility-first development (WCAG, ARIA, keyboard navigation, focus management, a11y testing).
• Design systems and component libraries; building reusable and consistent UI components.
• UI entitlements, including RBAC and feature toggles for phased releases.
• SPA authentication and session management (secure token handling, timeouts).
• API integration patterns (BFF, aggregation layers, GraphQL-style approaches).
• Incremental modernization and phased delivery strategies.
• Experience with third-party libraries such as Redux and RxJS, including dependency debugging.
