Position Summary
Department Summary
The Facilities Management Services is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and construction of the Oregon Tech campus. The department supports the education of approximately 3,000 students and the activities of 400 faculty and staff. The Facilities Services department employs 36 full time workers and varying numbers of part time workers and student laborers.
Facilities Management Services is a service department responsible for planning, construction, renovating, and maintaining college buildings and grounds. It operates the mechanical and electrical systems in such a manner as to support the college teaching and community service goals while minimizing consumption of natural resources and providing other services to the college which ensure a clean, safe and healthy environment with effective use of economic and human resources.

Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to maintain, alter, repair and replace all electrical systems, equipment, fixtures and controls throughout campus. The position requires a supervising electrical license. This position holds the legal responsibility for insuring that all electrical work on campus complies with applicable NEC and Oregon electrical codes. The incumbent plans, designs, estimates, orders materials, and organizes new and renovated installations. This position directs and supervises maintenance personnel in the performance of campus electrical maintenance. This position obtains and signs for electrical permits.
Minimum Requirements
Two years of journey-level experience planning, designing, installing, and maintaining building pneumatic electronic, and electrical control and distribution systems and possession of one of the following Oregon Electrician's Licenses appropriate to the work to be performed: General Supervising Electrician License, General Journeyman Electrician License
