Doctor of Medicine | Family Practice Location: New York Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Location: Remote (Must reside in the U.S.) ⏰ Start: ASAP Schedule: 40 hrs/week rotating weekends Duration: 6 months (with potential to hire) About the Role We're seeking experienced Medical Directors to perform medical necessity reviews, interpret complex inpatient cases, and make expert clinical determinations. You'll collaborate with external providers by phone, work within structured workflows, and contribute to a high-performing, team-based environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive inpatient medical necessity reviews Ensure alignment with national guidelines, CMS rules & clinical standards Meet productivity, quality & compliance metrics Communicate determinations clearly (written & verbal) Adapt to evolving workflows, systems & UM practices Work independently after structured training, with strong team support Requirements Required Qualifications MD/DO degree 5 years of post-training clinical experience (inpatient/Medicare population preferred) Active ABMS Board Certification Active, unrestricted license in at least one U.S. state (willing to obtain additional as needed) Strong communication & analytical skills No federal/state sanctions; able to meet credentialing standards ⭐ Preferred Skills Managed Care / Utilization Management experience Familiarity with MCG® , InterQual , Medicare Advantage, Medicaid or commercial plans Background in IM, FM, Geriatrics, Hospitalist, EM, or other inpatient specialties Tech-savvy, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, structured environment Interest in teaching, presenting, and contributing to clinical content Interview Process 1 Zoom interview with Lead Medical Director Fast decision turnaround Benefits Benefits Potential to convert to permanent full-time ‍ Fully remote – work from anywhere within the U.S. Stable 40-hour weekly schedule Strong onboarding & structured mentorship Opportunity to grow in Utilization Management Work/life balance with predictable workflows Team-based environment with ongoing supportaa415a4b-8b21-40fc-a65c-70d2b25ca29a
