The Klamath Service Corp Klamath Service Corps AmeriCorps Members will support job readiness and economic mobility for individuals facing barriers to employment in rural and tribal communities throughout Klamath County, Oregon. Members will provide one-on-one coaching sessions focused on resume building, job applications, interview preparation, and digital literacy using a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach. Members will serve in community centers, workforce hubs, and outreach events, tailoring support to meet the individual needs of each participant. They will also help connect clients to local employment resources, track progress toward employment goals, and assist in organizing peer-led workshops and community job fairs. This position offers hands-on experience in workforce development, peer support, community engagement, and culturally competent service delivery. Support individuals as they connect with job programs, learn digital tools, and explore career options. Provide friendly, respectful, and culturally aware support to people facing challenges like housing instability or past convictions. Help plan and run community events like job fairs, workshops, and outreach activities. Build strong, trusting relationships with the people you serve by listening and showing respect for their experiences. Tracking and Reporting Keep records of the people you help and the services you provide. Fill out simple forms and checklists to show progress over time.
