If you are energized by building relationships, solving real business problems, and creating opportunities for yourself and your clients, Payroc is the kind of place where you can make an impact and grow your career.Position OverviewThe Point of Sale (POS) Solutions Specialist serves as a subject matter expert and technical sales partner for Payroc's POS portfolio, with a primary focus on the restaurant vertical and expanding knowledge of retail solutions including Bodega AI.This role is responsible for supporting sales opportunities through tailored product demonstrations, solution design, and expectation setting. Unlike standard product overviews, this position requires a deeper understanding of operational workflows, integrations, and industry-specific nuances to help position the right solution for each merchant environment.The POS Solutions Specialist works closely with the PSM team and sales teams to improve deal quality, increase close rates, and ensure long-term customer success through accurate scoping and consultative selling.Duties and Responsibilities* Advanced Demo Execution & Sales Support* Deliver customized, consultative product demonstrations aligned to real-world restaurant and retail workflows (e.g., table service, QSR, multi-location, high SKU retail).* Support sales teams in late-stage and complex opportunities where deeper product expertise is required.* Help translate merchant needs into system configurations that clearly illustrate value and operational fit.* Solution Design & Expectation Setting* Act as a technical advisor during the sales process to ensure accurate positioning of features, integrations, and limitations.* Help define realistic implementation expectations, reducing downstream friction and improving customer satisfaction.* Identify best-fit use cases across POS offerings, including restaurant platforms and Bodega AI for retail environments.* Industry & Product Expertise* Develop and maintain deep expertise in restaurant POS ecosystems (front-of-house, back-of-house, online ordering, reporting, etc.).* Build working knowledge of retail workflows and AI-driven inventory/automation tools within Bodega AI.* Stay current on competitive solutions and industry trends to strengthen positioning and objection handling.* Sales Enablement (POS-Specific)* Partner with sales leadership to elevate POS-specific selling capabilities through targeted coaching, call support, and real-time deal strategy.* Provide practical guidance on discovery, demo flow, and positioning for more complex POS opportunities.* Create reusable demo frameworks and playbooks tailored to key verticals (restaurant-first, retail-secondary).* Deal Strategy & Collaboration* Collaborate with 1099 Sales Agents, W2 Sales Reps , and leadership to structure and advance opportunities.* Participate in pipeline reviews and provide insight on deal viability, risks, and positioning strategies.* Serve as a bridge between sales and product teams by sharing field-level insights on customer needs and gaps.* Performance Impact* Contribute directly to improved close rates, larger deal sizes, and reduced implementation fallout.* Help ensure deals are both winnable and operationally executable.Qualifications* 3+ years of experience in POS, restaurant technology, or merchant services with a strong product-facing component.* Demonstrated ability to deliver effective, tailored demos in a sales environment (not just standardized presentations).* Strong understanding of restaurant operations; retail experience or exposure is a plus.* Technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new systems, integrations, and workflows.* Ability to balance consultative selling with practical execution in a fast-paced environment.* Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.Working Conditions* Extensive desk-based work involving prolonged periods using a computer and sitting for extended periods.* Frequent interaction with team members, leaders, subject matter experts, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to support learning intake, coordination, and project execution.EqualityAt Payroc we are committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
