Word Processor

The Word Processor is responsible for preparing, editing, and producing routine documents while ensuring all work meets established quality and accuracy standards. This role requires strong Microsoft Word skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks according to detailed procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare standard documents using Microsoft Word and other appropriate software.
  • Type and format documents from various written sources.
  • Enter corrections and revisions accurately.
  • Proofread documents for accuracy, completeness, grammar, and formatting.
  • Follow established procedures and detailed instructions.
  • Escalate questions or issues to the appropriate team member.
  • Complete routine and repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members in a remote environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to type at least 55 words per minute with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures.
  • Dependable team player with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Typing speed of 65 words per minute or higher.

Working Conditions:

  • May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
  • The ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Use of computers and technology.
