The Advancement and Alumni Relations team for the Elliott School of International Affairs engages more than 30,000 Elliott School alumni, donors, parents and friends through communications, events, volunteer opportunities, and philanthropy.

Position Specific Summary

Reporting to the Director of Constituent Engagement and Annual Giving, the Student Assistant supports various members of the Elliott School's Advancement and Alumni Relations team on projects ranging from event preparation and correspondence to data entry and prospect research. In collaborating with team members on a diversity of projects, the assistant will enhance the Elliott School's connection to our more than 30,000 alumni and friends based around the world. This position works approximately 8-10 hours per week. Student must commit to working at least two days a week, for three or more hours per day.

Standard Position Description

The student will serve as an administrative assistant and perform tasks to support the operations of the the office or department. Tasks may include: assembling materials, filing, photocopying, giving directions or information, responding to phone or email inquiries, scanning and/indexing documents, light data entry, and other general office tasks. Special projects or duties may be assigned related to specific office needs.

Required Qualifications

This is an entry level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided.

-Previous development or administrative experience
-Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
-Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
-Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
-Elliott School students are strongly encouraged to apply
