We partner with leading universities across North America to provide applied education that helps learners build practical skills and open new opportunities. Together with the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies, we offer a 21-week online Product Management Bootcamp designed to prepare adult learners for real product work. We are looking for an experienced product manager who can turn industry experience into clear, practical, and engaging instruction.

Why You'll Love This Role

This is not a role for someone who wants to read from a slide deck and log off. You'll help aspiring product managers understand how products are actually discovered, prioritized, built, launched, measured, and improved. Over 21 weeks, you'll guide learners through product strategy, discovery, road-mapping, user experience, stakeholder management, growth, analytics, experimentation, and AI-enabled product management. Students will complete assignments, portfolio projects, and a capstone project, giving you a direct role in helping them become more confident and job-ready.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead two engaging, instructor-led online classes each week for adult learners, using a learner-centered and project-based approach.
• Translate product management frameworks into practical decisions, trade-offs, examples, and exercises drawn from real product work.
• Teach core topics including product lifecycle management, strategy, discovery, customer research, road-mapping, prioritization, user experience, stakeholder management, growth, analytics, experimentation, and responsible AI.
• Demonstrate how product managers use tools such as Jira, Figma, SQL, Mixpanel, and other AI-enabled product tools.
• Guide learners through in-class challenges, assignments, portfolio projects, and a final capstone project.
• Provide timely, specific, and constructive feedback that helps students improve both their thinking and their deliverables.
• Share real product wins, failures, tensions, and lessons learned—not sanitized theory.
• Create an online classroom where working professionals feel comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions, and learning from one another.
• Prepare thoroughly for each class and adapt delivery based on student comprehension, participation, and feedback.
• Mark assignments and projects consistently against established rubrics and academic standards.
• Collaborate with technical lab instructors, career coaches, curriculum staff, and program operations to create a connected learner experience.
• Communicate proactively about learner progress, attendance concerns, curriculum gaps, or anything that could improve course outcomes.
• Contribute feedback to the ongoing refinement of the curriculum so it remains current with industry practice and emerging AI capabilities.

What We're Looking For

• At least three years of hands-on product management experience, with direct ownership of products, features, or meaningful product outcomes.
• You can clearly explain what you personally owned, the decisions you made, the trade-offs involved, and the results—not only what your broader team delivered.
• Experience launching, managing, or improving products in a technology company, startup, scale-up, enterprise, or similarly complex organization.
• Strong knowledge of product strategy, discovery, road-mapping, prioritization, Agile delivery, customer research, experimentation, analytics, and data-informed decision-making.
• Working familiarity with common product tools such as Jira, Figma, SQL, Mixpanel or similar analytics tools, and modern AI tools used in the product workflow.
• Confidence discussing AI product design, responsible AI, LLM capabilities and limitations, and how AI is changing the work of product managers.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to make complex product concepts accessible without oversimplifying them.
• The maturity to give direct feedback while remaining encouraging, respectful, and focused on learner growth.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Design, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent product experience will be considered.
• Previous teaching, facilitation, mentorship, coaching, workshop delivery, or team-development experience is strongly preferred.
• Availability for the full cohort schedule, including live classes, monthly technical labs, lesson preparation, marking, meetings, and student support.

• If your product management experience is primarily theoretical or limited to observing other people own the product.
• If you want to deliver lectures but do not enjoy discussion, coaching, marking, or giving detailed feedback.
• If you rely heavily on jargon and cannot explain product concepts to beginners.
• If you believe one framework, methodology, or company's way of working is universally correct.
• If you are not comfortable discussing data, experimentation, AI, and the evolving tools used by modern product teams.
• If you cannot reliably commit to the full cohort schedule from September 15, 2026 through February 23, 2027.
• If you need constant direction to prepare, communicate, or resolve routine classroom challenges.

Role Details

• Cohort dates: September 15, 2026 through February 23, 2027.
• Live class instruction: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
• Live technical labs: One Wednesday evening per month from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
• Delivery: 100% online.
• Location: Open to candidates based in Canada. Preference may be given to candidates in Eastern Canada as most students will be based in Ontario due to the partnership with U of T for this course.
• Estimated commitment: Approximately 10-12 hours per week on average, including live teaching, preparation and assignment marking (this role does not include office hours or 1:1 tutoring).
• Training and onboarding: Availability is required before the cohort begins.
• Contract value: $8,500 for the full contract term of 21 weeks, consisting of ten semi-monthly payments of $650 and a final $2,000 completion payment.
• Performance: Instructors may be eligible for an end-of-contract performance bonus of $500 and will receive first consideration for future cohorts.
