Accountant

The Accounting Manager performs general accounting functions including the reconciliation of various general ledger accounts, intra-company allocations, and preparation and posting of monthly accruals.

Company Profile

50 Year old manufacturing company. Only two locations here in the United States. Providing quality plywood, particle board, siding, and trim.

Accountant Details:

• Direct Hire position
• $ 75,000.00 / annually
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 04:30pm)

Prepare and complete month-end financial statements.

Calculate and report the lower of cost or market value of panel inventory.

Perform variance and financial analyses.

Collaborate with operations and sales to develop yearly and quarterly budgets.

Enter contracts into the procurement program.

Process contract adjustments.

Accounts Payable & Receivable.

Produce monthly reports.

Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures.

Oversee and support the Junior Accountant.

Accountant Qualifications:

• Oversee and support the Junior Accountant.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, training, and support consistent with developing and sustaining a high-performing and accountable team.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles with strong general ledger, account reconciliation, and cash management skills.
• Proficient in accounting software programs.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience.
• Relevant industry-related experience preferred.
